We all have budgets, don’t we? Starting to stamp does not have to be expensive. Choose a stamp set you love, add some cardstock and a couple of ink pads and you are ready to go! One of my favorites, “Incredible Like You” is retiring. It will not be in the new catalog. If you want this set, now is the time to place your order.
The two cards I have made are a perfect example of #simplestamping and stamping on a budget!
***A few basic tool ideas: a good paper trimmer (with extra blades), a good pair of paper snips, Tombow glue, some dimensionals and “snail”. Order one block to use with your stamp set. Then, as you begin to create your homemade cards or scrapbook pages (which you will thoroughly enjoy!), you can move on to the bigger ticket items.
Hi all! I am excited for this new catalog. I hear there are some fabulous stamp sets, inks and papers. Oh..and accessories…and tools! I’ve seen a couple of “sneak peaks ” and I am patiently awaiting the day I can place my pre-order.
I will be placing my order on May 2nd which is the first day that demonstrators are able to do so (unless, of course, you were a demonstrator fortunate enough to go to the Onstage event). I will be ordering catalogs at that time. If you are interested in having a hard copy of the catalog to thumb through (I’m old school..so always prefer having something in hand), please let me know. I will be happy to put you on my mailing list. Or, if you want to join my team, you will also be able to place an early order. Contact me for details (and discounts) available by joining my team.
The new catalog will also be available at my online store: cardsbycoco.stampinup.net.
These fabulous colors will be available to order in early June. That is when the new Stampin’ Up catalog is available.
What is your favorite color? Mine was easy…it is the Terracotta Tile. I love this color for so many reasons, but here are the top two: the first reason is because I love all the colors that you find in the Southwest. I absolutely love the beauty of the desert. The second reason (which maybe should be my first?) is my memories of my sister’s eyeshadow color circa the 1970’s. This was her color. In fact, I believe it was called Terracotta (insert something…I can not remember). My sister wore this color each and every day. Reapplied said shadow multiple times a day. Mo has always been “fashion forward”.
I am looking forward to making many cards with our new colors. Many of which will likely be sent to the above mentioned sister.
I’ll be sure to keep you posted with the new catalog colors and products as the information becomes available. Next week I will be featuring a card from one of the retiring sets “Incredible Like You”. This set is one of my favorites and is still available to order, as supplies last.
This is what I have learned today: really, really look at the designer paper before it is glued in place. Yep, that’s right, that kangaroo is missing his head. Normally, I would remake this entire card in the hopes of “perfection”, but, not today. Today I think I will place a purple ribbon there and mail it off. Hopefully, my mistake will help you other crafters take that second (and possibly third) look.
To be honest, I practice new techniques and card designs on my grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They all love mail and don’t seem to mind the mistakes, excess glue and ink smudges. I get a little better with each card I make, and have fun making them! After all, hobbies should be fun.
This pop-up card was easy to make. Once the components are made, it comes together quickly. I thought about writing the directions out for you, but there are so many great YouTube videos out there already.
Of course, if you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please go to my online store: cardsbycoco.stampinup.net or contact me via email.
****update**** Above is a picture with a little bit of ribbon that I was able to get during Sale-A-Bration. Better? I think so. I also think I will look where I am cutting next time!
On-line ordering available 24 hours a day. I will answer emails as quickly as possible
