Today’s card is a simple Easter card using the Timeless Tulips Bundle, 2 colors of card stock, simple stamping, some ribbon and bling. This card comes together quickly without a lot of supplies.
~ The base: cut Flirty Flamingo card stock at 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”. Score at 4-1/4”. For the tag: cut 1” x 3”.
~ The second layer: cut two pieces of Whisper White cardstock @ 5-1/4” x 4”. One of these will be for the inside of your card. For the tag: cut 3/4” x 3”.
~ Stamp your images on the Whisper White card stock. I love the soft color of the Flirty Flamingo. It photographs a little dark so check out the color sample at the bottom of this blog for a better look. The Old Olive is the perfect color for the stems/ leaves.
~ Using the largest tulip stamp, stamp the image on a scrap of Flirty Flamingo card stock using the Flirty Flamingo ink pad. I love how this looks. Punch that out.
~ Run this layer (after stamping) through your Big Shot using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This is an optional step, although I do think it adds a bit of texture to the card.
~ I colored the ribbon with the dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. Again, this is an extra step.
~ It’s time to put your card together. Adhere the ribbon around the Whisper White layer and add a bow. I always make my bows separate and use a mini glue dot to place on top of the ribbon. Glue this piece to the Flirty Flamingo base. Now, add the large tulip using dimensionals. Flag the sentiment…use a punch or scissors…whatever works best for you. Add some bling and the front of your card is done!
~ I used the Decorative Ribbon Border to add a little extra to the inside card base. If you don’t have this, I think the small tulip stamped in the corner would be lovely.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! As always, Happy Crafting! Colleen
