Nothing’s Better Than Card

Hello! Last week I did a blog post on bundles (they really do make it so easy to create ). Today’s card features the Nothing’s Better Than bundle. You can find this bundle on page 91 of the 2020-2021 catalog. I just love the retro look to these cups. I thought it would be fun to make this card using this years In-Colors. What do you think? This stamp set also features cocktails and cookies!! A little something for everyone. Onto the card recipe:

Cutting:

~Cinnamon Cider card stock @ 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score @ 4-1/4″ . This is your base layer.

~Just Jade card stock @ 4″ x 5-1/4″.

~ Whisper White card stock @ 3-3/4″ x 5″.

Stamping:

~ This is a two- step stamping process. Start by stamping these cute little cups in Cinnamon Cider ink.

~ Next, fill your cups in using Bumble Bee, Just Jade and Magenta Madness ink pads. (Don’t forget to clean your stamp in between switching colors. Work from lightest to darkest ink). I stamped off on a piece of scrap paper before applying to my image since I wanted a lighter shade. I was wondering how the Magenta Madness would work out and turned out to be my favorite!

~Use the little star to complete the background.

Die Cuts:

~I used the “love you more than coffee” dies. I started with Cinnamon Cider card stock, but it just did not “pop” enough. So, I also die cut the words using Basic Black card stock. Using a toothpick and multi-purpose glue, I adhered the die cuts together to create a shadow effect.

Let’s Put This Card Together:

~Before I glued my sentiments in place, I tried multiple different lay-outs on this card. Using the multi-purpose glue sparingly, I adhered my sentiments.

~I wrapped some ribbon at the bottom (I found this ribbon in an old Paper Pumpkin kit) and added some bling. Attach your Whisper White layer to the Just Jade layer with the adhesive of your choice. Now adhere to your Cinnamon Cider base layer.

I hope your enjoyed today’s card. If you are in the United States and would like to place an order, please visit my online store. I do send a complimentary catalog (if requested) with orders over $25.00 and a handmade Thank You card. For orders over $50.00, I also add a small gift.

I recently added a “Join My Team” tab to the menu.

Don’t forget that the new mini catalog is about to launch very soon!

As always, Happy Crafting!! Colleen

Colleen Light Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and DIY Crafter I love all paper crafting and I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Independent demonstrator since 2018. Not only do I love the Stampin’ Up products but I am also working towards my quilling accreditation through the Quilling Guild. You will see some of those cards pop up every now and then. I started this latest paper crafting hobby of mine following an accident. I use it as my own form of occupational therapy (we nurses can get creative with our therapies.. haha). What I found was a great admiration for my fellow creative demonstrators and a great sense of community. I especially enjoy sending out my hand-crafted cards. It makes me happy when people tell me they save the cards!! If you are in the United States, I would love to be your demonstrator or have you as a member of my team. Check out the details of becoming a demonstrator at my on-line store (the discounts are definitely helpful). Feel free to drop me a comment! I look forward to working with you.
