Jar Of Flowers Gate Fold Card

Hello! Today I am sharing a Gate Fold card showcasing the Jar Of Flowers and the Comfort & Hope stamp sets. This Jar Of Flowers set is part of the Flowers for Every Season Suite (page 10 in the current catalog). It can also be purchased separately or in a bundle (includes punch) found on page 12 in the 2020- 2021 catalog.

Let’s cut some wpaper:

~Cut Bumble Bee card stock at 4-1/4″ x 11″ and score at 2-3/4″ x 8-1/4″

~Cut Misty Moonlight card stock at 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4

~I used one of the card pack pieces to create the panel layers. Cut at 2-1/2″ x 4″ (cut 2). This was an afterthought, so these are not pictured.

~Cut Whisper White card stock @ 1-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ (cut 1) and 1″ x 2-1/4″ (cut 2)

~ Cut Whisper White card stock @3-3/4″ x 5″

Stamping and coloring with Stampin’ Blends:

~First, stamp your sentiments using Stazon ink. The sentiments I am using are from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. Remember to clean your stamps as soon as possible after using Stazon. It is a difficult ink to remove (you will find Stazon Cleaner on page 163 in the current catalog).

~Stamp your images in Cinnamon Cider ink.

~Now, grab your Stampin’ Blends to start coloring. I used a combination of Daffodil Delight, Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade and Flirty Flamingo. If you do not have the Stampin’ Blends, use what you have. Markers, blender pens and ink pads or watercolor pencils will all do the job.

~I added a hint of Wink of Stella to the center of my sunflowers. It is difficult to see in the photo, but it gives just the right amount of sparkle.

Let’s put this card together:

~Line your stamped images up on the Misty Moonlight card stock. Try to align them so you have even borders. Once this looks good, glue them to the card stock. I like the Multi Purpose glue, but use the adhesive of your choice.

~Glue the card pack pieces to the Bumble Bee card base. I like how the Misty Moonlight looks against the Bumble Bee card stock.

~Next, glue this Misty Moonlight piece to the front of the Bumble Bee card stock. Only glue half of this card stock down on the left panel. I have been known to glue a card or two shut …hahaha.

~Using the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels, add your bling. I like to place my bling in a triangle pattern. I added a scrap of ribbon for a little “extra”.

Don’t forget the inside:

~The suite comes with a card pack which includes these fabulous stickers! This really completes the inside of the card and leaves plenty of room for a handwritten note.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If you are in the United States and would like to place an order, please visit my online store. For orders over $25.00, I send a complimentary catalog (if requested) and a handmade Thank You card. For orders over $50.00 I also add a small gift from me!

Have a wonderful day. As always, Happy Crafting!! Colleen

Colleen Light Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and DIY Crafter I love all paper crafting and I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Independent demonstrator since 2018. Not only do I love the Stampin’ Up products but I am also working towards my quilling accreditation through the Quilling Guild. You will see some of those cards pop up every now and then. I started this latest paper crafting hobby of mine following an accident. I use it as my own form of occupational therapy (we nurses can get creative with our therapies.. haha). What I found was a great admiration for my fellow creative demonstrators and a great sense of community. I especially enjoy sending out my hand-crafted cards. It makes me happy when people tell me they save the cards!! If you are in the United States, I would love to be your demonstrator or have you as a member of my team. Check out the details of becoming a demonstrator at my on-line store (the discounts are definitely helpful). Feel free to drop me a comment! I look forward to working with you.
