Flowers For Every Season Gate Fold Card

Hello! Today’s card features the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. This set can be found on page 13 of the 2020- 2021 catalog. I have a field of sunflowers behind our home and I love watching them sway in the wind. One of my daughters has always called these “happy flowers”. Isn’t that the best description?

I made two of these cards. One in Just Jade and one using Basic Black.

Let’s get started:

~ Cut a piece of Just Jade card stock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score each end at 2-1/8″. Fold those panels towards the center. This is what we call a gate fold.

~ Cut a piece of Bumblebee card stock 1″ x 10″. This is for the band that goes around your card.

~ Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock at 4″ x 5-1/4 inch. This is the inside layer of your card.

~ Next, cut 2 pieces (2″ x 5-3/8″) each from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper. Adhere these to the front panel of your card. (I am showing two styles of DSP since I made two cards).

~ Stamp and color your images. I stamped one flower with Cinnamon Cider and one with Crumb Cake. I used light and dark Daffodil Delight and Cinnamon Cider Stampin Blends to color in my sunflowers. I used Old Olive ink and a blender pen for the leaves.

~ Using the Sunflower Dies and your Die cutting machine, cut your flowers out.

~ Tightly wrap the Bumblebee card stock you cut for the band around your card and glue overlapped ends together. I also adhered some of my ribbon to this piece. Pop your sunflower up on dimensionals over that seam. I added some Wink of Stella and bling to the center of my flowers to give it a bit of sparkle. The Flowers For Every Season Combo Ribbon Pack is gorgeous, so I tucked a bit under the sunflower.

~ The Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes comes with these fabulous stickers. This is the inside of your card.

~ The card set also includes these wonderful sentiment cards. I can’t wait to send them along in my card as a little something extra.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. If you are in the United States and would like to place an order, please visit my online store. I do send a complimentary catalog (if requested) with orders over $25.00 and a handmade Thank You card. For orders over $50.00, I also include a small gift.

Happy Crafting!! Colleen

Colleen Light Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and DIY Crafter I love all paper crafting and I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Independent demonstrator since 2018. Not only do I love the Stampin’ Up products but I am also working towards my quilling accreditation through the Quilling Guild. You will see some of those cards pop up every now and then. I started this latest paper crafting hobby of mine following an accident. I use it as my own form of occupational therapy (we nurses can get creative with our therapies.. haha). What I found was a great admiration for my fellow creative demonstrators and a great sense of community. I especially enjoy sending out my hand-crafted cards. It makes me happy when people tell me they save the cards!! If you are in the United States, I would love to be your demonstrator or have you as a member of my team. Check out the details of becoming a demonstrator at my on-line store (the discounts are definitely helpful). Feel free to drop me a comment! I look forward to working with you.
