Comfort & Hope Gate Fold Card

Hello and welcome to today’s card using the Comfort & Hope stamp set. You can find this set on page 88 of the 2020-2021 catalog. It includes 11 stamps. My most favorite thing about this set is the versatility of the patterned stamps.

Let’s get started:

~ Cut Cinnamon Cider card stock at 4-1/4″ x 11″. Score at 2-3/4″ and 8-1/4″. Fold those towards the center and run your bone folder over the creases. You want these to fold as flat as you can.

~ Next, cut 2 panels of the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper at 2-5/8″ x 4-1/8″. I love this DSP! The patterns and colors are fabulous.

~ Cut Cinnamon Cider card stock at 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″

~ Cut Whisper White card stock at 1-1/2″ x 2-1/4″ (cut 1) and 1″ x 2-1/4″ (cut 2).

~ Cut another piece of Whisper White card stock @ 3-3/4″ x 5″. This is for the inside of your card.

Now to stamp!

~ I stamped my images using a variety of ink pads: Shaded Spruce, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. I really think these patterned stamps add just the right amount of “extra”. When you stamp your flowers, make sure you line up your card stock so the image looks cohesive.

~ I also stamped the inside of my card layer (this one has a smudge–I redid it but forgot to take another photo). Don’t forget to personalize your envelope. I tend to stamp the same image and sentiment on the envelope. Stampin Up has these envelopes available for purchase.

Adhere all the layers together, remembering to only put your adhesive on the left half of the completed panel.

I added a bit of ribbon attached with mini glue dot. Ta-da! This card is done.

I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I just love all of our new fall colors. If you are in the USA, I would love to be your demonstrator.

Colleen Light Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and DIY Crafter I love all paper crafting and I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! Independent demonstrator since 2018. Not only do I love the Stampin’ Up products but I am also working towards my quilling accreditation through the Quilling Guild. You will see some of those cards pop up every now and then. I started this latest paper crafting hobby of mine following an accident. I use it as my own form of occupational therapy (we nurses can get creative with our therapies.. haha). What I found was a great admiration for my fellow creative demonstrators and a great sense of community. I especially enjoy sending out my hand-crafted cards. It makes me happy when people tell me they save the cards!! If you are in the United States, I would love to be your demonstrator or have you as a member of my team. Check out the details of becoming a demonstrator at my on-line store (the discounts are definitely helpful). Feel free to drop me a comment! I look forward to working with you.
