Hello and welcome to today’s blog post. I love a fun fold and this Easel Card is a super easy one to make! Have you seen the Butterfly Brilliance Collection yet? If not, you absolutely have to take a peek at it. All of the products are fabulous.
I did do a Facebook Live on how to make this card. Please excuse my little dog and his barking at the end of the video. He is a mini Aussie and a rescue. So, he is still learning his manners…hahaha. Follow this link if you would like to watch: https://fb.watch/4d1sRwNRIj/
Let’s Make This Card:
Basic Black cardstock @ 8-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. Along the long side, score @ 4-1/4″ and 6-1/2″. This is your card base and forms your “easel”
Basic Black cardstock @ 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″
Basic White cardstock @ 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″
Butterfly Bijou 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper @ 4-1/8″ x 4-1/8″. Cut another piece @ 4-1/8″ x 3/4″
Towards the bottom of the Basic White cardstock, stamp your sentiment.
Die cut 2 of the butterflies. For this card, I used a scrap of the Butterfly Bijou DSP and a scrap of vellum. Attach the butterflies together with a mini glue dot.
***These dies are AMAZING and should definitely be on your list***
Let’s Put This Card Together:
I forgot my ribbon while doing my live video, so I layered a very narrow scrap of DSP across the square piece of the DSP. Use what you like. Attach that to the Basic Black square. Adhere that layer to the upside down “V” of your base layer, making sure things are even on the bottom. You want your card to stand up nice and straight.
Next, add the narrow strip of DSP to your Basic White layer (slightly above your sentiment). This is what the “easel” will rest against.
Pop your butterfly up using a mini dimensional and add some bling. This card is now done!!
Isn’t this collection beautiful? I did show the big Butterfly Brilliance stamp in the video along with some other samples. If you are interested in any of this products, please click the “Shop Now” button or follow this link: http://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2195858
