I am sharing two projects today- a handmade card and a candy holder. For those of you who have followed me for any length of time, you know I love simple stamping. So, whether you are a beginner or avid crafter, I know you can make either of these!

Father’s Day Pocket Card

This pocket card is so easy to create using the supplies from the kit and a bit of cardstock. I added a piece of Basic White cardstock for the sentiment, but you could cut a piece from the inside panel of a card base included in the the Paper Pumpkin kit.

Here are the measurements for the card:

Pecan Pie cardstock (for the base): 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″

Pecan Pie cardstock at 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″. Cut on the diagonal down the center to form the pocket

Pecan Pie cardstock for the inside panel: 3″ x 4″

Wood grain card base: 4″ x 5 1/4″. For the pocket, cut another piece at 3 1/4″ x 3 1/4″. Cut this smaller piece down the center on the diagonal

Basic White cardstock: 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″

I used two of the kit components for the focal piece (cabin and trees, pecan pie circle)

How to put the card together:

Start by adhering the wood grain paper to the card base and the diagonal pocket piece. They should (more or less) line up.
Using the Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Spot, stamp the sentiment top center on the Basic White cardstock. Adhere this piece to the 3″ x 4″ piece of Pecan Pie cardstock. Also stamp the “You Are an Inspiration” on sentiment tag.
Place Tear & Tape on the left side and bottom of the pocket cardstock. Remove the backing of the Tear & Tape and place your pocket on the lower left-hand side of the card.
Glue your sentiment under the cabin and fence (look at my sample), then adhere the picturesque piece to the Pecan Pie circle (I LOVE the detail around that circle). Pop that up on dimenionals on the lower left side and place some of the included gems where you like them.
Ta-da! This card is done. Write a quick note and pop the sentiment piece in the pocket.

Candy Bar Treat Holder

This Candy Bar Treat Holder is perfect for a quick addition to a gift bag, craft shows or to share with family and friends. I did try to do a video, but the camera on my phone isn’t cooperating.

Measurements:

Cardstock: 4″ x 9-1/2″. Score along the short side at 1/2″ x 3/4″. Rotate and do the same along the other side. Now, score along the long side at 3″ x 3-1/4″. You will need to cut the cardstock from the second score mark in from the top until you hit the 3″ score line.

Plaid card layer for the inside layer: 2-1/4″ x 5-3/4″.

Bottom layer used the seascape square: 2-1/4″ x 2-3/4″.

I did add a strip of the plaid layer behind my sentiment piece.

Let’s assemble the box:

Using your paper trimmer, cut from the 3/4″ score lines to the 3″ score line on both sides.
Fold in score lines on both sides of the box to make your tabs. Add the Tear & Tape to the tabs that will attach to the box. Remove the backing of the Tear & Tape, line up your tabs and adhere to the back of the box.

Stamp your sentiment directly on the seascape scene and adhere that to the front of the box. Add the rock gems and add a bit of ribbon to the candy bar.
