Hello and welcome to today’s blog post. This card is made with two of the Sale-A-Bration items (which ends on February 28, 2021). I paired the A Touch of Ink stamp set with the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper. This is one of my customer appreciation Thank You cards. I think the colors are so soft and pretty.
Cutting:
Basic Black cardstock @ 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ . Score @ 4-1/4″. Cut another piece of Basic Black @ 4-1/8″ x 3/4″
Oh So Ombre DSP @ 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Cut another piece of the Oh So Ombre @ 4-1/8″ x 1-1/8″
Stamping:
Stamp your butterfly with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used Rococo Rose ink for the wings of the butterfly (I stamped off once on scrap paper for a lighter color).
Coloring:
Using my Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend marker, I colored in the tips of the wings. I took a Light Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blend and flicked those dots on the Basic White paper around the butterfly. (I do show how to do this in my video–see link below).
Embossing:
I embossed the “Thank you so much” with Shimmer White Embossing Powder. I love how it looks against the Basic Black cardstock.
Die Cutting:
Die cut the circles using the Layering Circles Dies. I used some more of the Oh So Ombre DSP for the larger, scalloped circle. If you have punches available, you could also use those.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
Adhere all of your layers together and add some bling and a touch of ribbon. I did pop the butterfly layer up on some dimensionals.
