Beautifully Happy Peek-a-boo Circle Handmade Card

Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group’s Spring Fling Blog Hop. I am so happy you are joining in the fun today. I hope you gain some inspiration from our projects. I’ll have all the links posted for you below so you can “hop” on over and take a peek at everyone’s projects. Be sure to comment #stampitcontest for a chance to win the Sit Stay Relax Host Stamp Set.

Have you seen the Beautifully Happy Sale-A-Bration stamp set yet? It has quickly become one of my favorites. Sale-A-Bration ends on February 28 (that went fast)! I will have more details about how you can earn this set towards the end of my post.

Card measurements:

Orchid Oasis card base: 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score at 5 1/2″

Basic White cardstock: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (cut two–one is for the inside of your card)

Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ designer series paper: 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″

Using one of the Scalloped Contours dies, I die cut the bottom of the Country Gingham 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (I went about an inch up). I then adhered the designer series paper to the Basic White cardstock and glued those pieces to the front of my card base. I stamped my sentiment in the bottom left-hand corner.

Using my Layering Circles Dies, I die cut a scalloped ring out of a sheet of Orchid Oasis glimmer paper. You can make this ring easily by using one scalloped edged die and one regular circle die (both come in the Layering Circles Dies)

This paper is fabulous–I’ll have the product link for you below.

I took the regular circle die and fit it inside the scalloped ring and then die cut through all of the layers on the front of my card–I ran it back and forth about three times. *Be sure to remove the scalloped glimmer ring prior to running through your machine*

Now for the fun part! I glued the Glimmer paper ring to the front of my card (where I cut out the circle). I placed the second piece of Basic White cardstock inside of my card–I didn’t glue it down in case I made a mistake (that happens…).

The two-step stamping makes creating so easy. No coloring necessary–just have fun stamping! Once you are happy with your stamping, go ahead and glue it in place.

The picture is a bit dark–it is Basic White

I hope the photos helped show how easily this card comes together. Add a bit of twine and some bling to make this card even more special.

The Beautifully Happy stamp set is FREE with a $100 purchase (before tax and shipping) only during Sale-A-Bration–which ends on February 28, 2023. I really do love to talk all things crafty, so if you have any questions about my project or Sale-A-Bration, just let me know.

February Host Code: QJ3RZXGT

Thanks for much for stopping by today and a BIG congratulations to last month’s winner, Cindy Knarr.

Happy Stamping,

Colleen
