Butterfly Brilliance “Hello” Card

Welcome to today’s blog post! I love this Butterfly Brilliance stamp set. It is a rather large stamp, so having the Stamparatus is certainly helpful. This card has a lot of “wow” for being as simple as it is.

Let’s Make This Card:

Cutting:

Basic Black cardstock @ 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score @ 4-1/4

Basic White cardstock @ 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Cut 2 —one is for the inside of your card

Stamping:

Using your Stamparatus or a big block, stamp the Basic White cardstock with the Butterfly Brilliance stamp. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Stamp sentiment using So Saffron

Die-Cutting:

Using the largest butterfly in the Brilliant Wings Dies, die cut a piece of the Butterfly Bijou DSP. These dies and the DSP coordinate beautifully.

Coloring:

I colored in the butterflies using these Stampin’ Blends: So Saffron, Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Bermuda Bay. I also used the So Saffron Blend to color the 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon (talk about a versatile ribbon!!).

Let’s Put This Card Together:

Wrap your ribbon around the butterfly layer. Now glue this to the Basic Black card base. Pop your die-cut butterfly up on dimensionals (line it up with the large, stamped butterfly). Add some bling and this card is done!!

Sometimes simple cards can be so striking, don’t you think?
