Hello and welcome to today’s card using the Darling Donkeys stamp set. This is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set and is FREE with a $50.00 purchase. Isn’t it the cutest?! I paired this stamp set with the Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper. I really do love the patterns on this paper–they are bright and fun.
I did a Facebook Live making this card. I’ll add the link at the end. Unfortunately, the card base dimensions are wrong on the video. Follow the directions below.
Cutting:
Night of Navy cardstock @ 4-1/4″ x 11″. Score @ 5-1/2″
Basic (or Whisper) White cardstock: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Playing with Patterns DSP: 1 panel @ 3 x 4-1/2″; 1 panel @ 2-1/2 x 3-1/2″. Cut the strip for the flag @ 1/2″ x 3″. Square @ 1″ x 1. Choose the patterns/ colors you like! You cannot go wrong.
Die Cutting:
Using the Layering Circles, cut one in Basic White and another in Night of Navy.
Stamping:
Stamp the Donkey using your Smoky Slate ink pad and then color in using your Smoky Slate and Crumb Cake blends. Ground your image with a bit of Old Olive for the grass (I used my Blender Brushes to add the Old Olive).
Stamp your sentiment.
Stamp the star pattern in the corners.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
Glue everything in place using the adhesive of your choice. Next, add a ribbon and the Playing With Patterns Resin Dots (don’t those remind you of the sugary candy we ate as kids???). This card is done!!
