Hello and welcome to the Stamp It Group Valentine’s Day Blog Hop. I hope you find some creative inspiration from our group’s projects. Be sure to leave a comment at the end of this post for a chance to win the Painted Wishes Kit.
If we haven’t met before, you may not know I am a simple stamper at heart. I don’t know about you, but I always enjoy finding an easy layout and making multiple cards at once.
Measurements:
Thick Basic White cardstocK for your card base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″. Score at 4 1/4″.
Basic White cardstock: Cut one piece at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and another piece at 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
Poppy Parade cardstock: Cut one piece at 4″ x 5 1/4″ and one at 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″
You will need scraps of Basic White for the hearts.
Stamping:
Using the Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamp your sentiment and another image you like. On your scrap piece of Basic White, stamp some additional hears in Poppy Parade ink. Use the Bee Builder Punch to punch out the hearts.
Embossing Folder:
For the Basic White layer, I used the Starstruck Embossing Folder. I saw this in the Sale-A-Bration brochure and knew I just had to have it. You can earn it for FREE when you place a $60 order. Have I mentioned I love this embossing folder?
Ribbon:
One of my favorite things about Stampin’ Up! is how versatile their products are. I did not have the shade of ribbon I wanted, but I do have the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers and the Black & Very Vanilla 3/8″ Large Check Ribbon. I used my marker to color both sides of the ribbon (make sure you have a piece of paper under that ribbon as it will bleed through). I gave it just a few seconds to dry and LOVE how it turned out.
I hope you are enjoying today’s Blog Hop. Be sure to take a peek at all of the other posts for even more Valentine’s Day cardmaking inspiration. Don’t forget to leave a comment for a chance to win the Painted Wishes Kit.
Thanks for “hopping” by and happy stamping, Colleen
