Today’s cards will feature the May 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit. For those of you not familiar with Paper Pumpkin (PP), I’ll give a quick explanation. PP are monthly subscription kits which are designed for anyone that wants to quickly and easily make handcrafted projects/ cards. Everything you need to get started is in the box! Each month has a different look and theme. For the beginner paper crafter, this is a great way to try different styles.
I made the above four cards using only what came in the kit. No extra glue, paper or embellishments (and, I love my bling). The Stampin’ dot ink pad is Early Expresso. It’s such a nice, warm color.
I made one alternative using some of our In Colors. To make this card, I cut the card base (Roccoco Rose) at 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”. Score at 4 1/4”.
The 2nd layer is Very Vanilla cardstock: cut at 5 1/4” x 4”. I cut the floral card from the PP kit at 4 3/4” x 3 1/2”.
The tag is 1” x 3” Roccoco Rose and 3/4” x 2 3/4” of Whisper White. I used the “Hello” stamp (stamped in Roccoco Rose) from May’s PP along with the twine. I used the floral stamp from the kit on Whisper White (5 1/4” x 4”) for the inside layer of the card. I embellished with three of the In Color Faceted Dots.
***Helpful Hint*** Save your scraps of paper. They always come in handy for tags, banners, etc.
So, I told you I like my bling and embellishments. This card needed more. It just did not look finished. I used some Wink of Stella which added a little bit of sparkle and a few more of the goodies from the PP kit.
Aww this is such a pleasant theme! I will definitely check out this box, thanks for the great review, the handmade cards look so pretty! Do check out my blog as well, and I look forward to reading more of your posts soon! Have a great day/night 🙂
Love it!
