Today’s card features the Little Ladybug stamp set. This is a free Host set (with a qualifying order) featured on page 17 of the Sale-A-Bration catalog. I love everything about this set. It is super cute, easy to stamp and is quite versatile. The sentiments range from: “Spread your wings and FLY” to “Hey, Lady”.
Card recipe:
~Cut Black card stock @ 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”. Score at 4-1/4”
~Cut Whisper White card stock @ 5-1/4” x 4” . Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White. One layer will be for the inside of your card.
~Cut Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper @ 5-1/4” x 2-1/2”
~Cut Poppy Parade card stock @ 5-1/4” x 1/2”
~Stamp your images. For the Ladybug, I stamped the image using Memento Tuxedo Black. I then colored in the wings using the Poppy Parade Dark Stampin’ Blend marker. I finished coloring with a basic grey marker for the body and Crushed Curry for the flower.
~Using your die cutting machine, cut a piece of Whisper White using the Layering Circles dies and a piece of Poppy Parade using the Painted Labels dies. Make sure you choose the circle that fits well with the Painted Labels die.
~Now it’s time to put this card together with your favorite adhesive. I work best with the Multi-Purpose Tombow glue. Use dimensionals to pop the Ladybug up. Add some bling and you are done! For this card, I used Peaceful Poppies sequins. I really like that some of these sequins “stand up” more….like little tulips! The colors are rich and really add a little extra to your card.
