Today’s card is a birthday card using the quilling technique. There are some fabulous YouTube videos out there that will help with learning technique. If you can, I would suggest you take classes from an accredited quilling instructor. It takes about 3 yrs (!!!) to become accredited, so I have a ways to go. This is one of Heidi Bishop’s designs. Take a moment to check out her Etsy site @ HeirloomQuilling.
The Stampin’ Up products worked perfectly for this design. For the background, I used the retired Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, along with Poppy Parade and Whisper White card stock. The “Happy Birthday” tag was cut out using the Layering Circle Dies and stamped with Poppy Parade ink. The Wink of Stella glitter pen was used on the tips of the tulips to give them extra sparkle. I added some ribbon and bling to complete this project.
I loved making this card for my daughter. It reminds me of her…happy and sparkly. She plans on framing it which makes me very happy (I did include a white frame with her other gifts).
Wishing you all good health. Happy Crafting….Colleen
