One of my favorite things about Stampin’ Up! is the color coordination and how easily everything comes together. In today’s blog post, I’ve used two completely different stamp sets and dies to create this beautiful card. Although the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle has carried over to the current annual catalog, the Quite Curvy Bundle (found in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog) is retiring in June!!
Keep reading to find out how I made this card.
Cardstock Dimensions:
Calypso Coral : 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ . Score at 4-1/4″. This is your card base.
So Saffron: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Butterfly Bijou 6″ x 6″ DSP: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″
Basic White: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Cut another piece at 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″. This is for the inside layer of your card
***The Butterfly Bijou and Basic White are slightly bigger than needed. It is easier to trim paper than to cut everything perfectly.
Die-Cutting:
Now for the fun part!! Using your Curvy Dies, die-cut the smaller piece of Basic White cardstock. You will want to leave enough of a gap for that DSP to shine through. Using the Brilliant Wings Dies, die-cut two butterflies using the same DSP. I did use the Adhesive Sheets to make applying this to the card easier. One of these butterflies will go on the inside layer of your card.
Stamping:
Next, stamp your sentiment. One of the great things about these photopolymer stamps is that you can curve them on your block to get the shape desired.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
Adhere all of your layers together and trim to fit your So Saffron layer. Remove the adhesive from the butterfly and adhere to your card. Add some bling and this card is done!
