Throwback Thursday (Peaceful Poppies DSP) and the Designer Series Paper Sale

Today’s cards feature how easy it is to create a gift set using cardstock, ink and designer series paper! I am using the retired Peaceful Poppies Designer Series paper but plan on making another gift set using our fall colors. Select DSP is now currently 15% off!! Also–how beautiful is the Brushed Metallic Cardstock I am using for the background in the photo? I have big plans for this DSP for my Christmas cards.

Card recipe:

~ Cut your card base at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″. I used Poppy Parade

~ Cut your DSP at 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″

~ Stamp your sentiment on Whisper White cardstock

~ Using the punch of your choice, punch out your tag pieces–one that matches the cardstock and the one with your sentiment. I used the Timeless Label punch. This seems to be my “go to” punch

~ Wrap some ribbon around the DSP and adhere together. Now glue your DSP to the card base layer. I like to use our multi-purpose glue for this. Glue the two punched out pieces together creating a shadow effect. Pop your sentiment up on dimensionals, attach to your card over the ribbon and add some bling!

How easy is it to make this set? Don’t forget to include envelopes and tie in a pretty ribbon. I am positive that whoever receives this gift set will love it. My sentiments include: Happy Birthday (2 cards), With Deepest Sympathy and Thank You

Today starts Stampin Up’s Designer Series Paper sale. This is a great way to stock up.
