Throwback Thursday— Use Up That Designer Series Paper

Hello and welcome to today’s project. I love combining something retired with the new products. I am always mixing and matching.

I remember when I first started using Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, I hated to chop it up. It was so pretty just as it was. I really don’t know what I was saving it for. Take my advice, if you love it, chop it!

This project was made using the now retired Under The Mistletoe DSP and the current Little Treats stamp set and the Little Treat Box dies. This could not be any easier to make.

Let’s make this project!

Die Cutting:

Using the box die from the Little Treat Box dies, cut your box out. Da-Ta! That’s it for the die cuts. Using you bone folder, reinforce those lines and fold into your treat holder. No adhesive necessary–the tabs are built in.

Make Your Tag:

I stamped my sentiment using Real Red ink, using the sentiment from A Merry Hello (a Host gift which can be earned with Stampin’ Rewards). I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White and placed the red glitter paper behind it. I cut it to size and used my paper snips to finish the edges. Attach to the front of your treat box.

Ribbon:

To close your treat box, thread some ribbon through the holes and tie together. I used what I had in the house. I love the Metallic Mesh ribbon and use it every chance I get.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. I am going to put Tic-Tacs or small chocolate candies in the boxes to hand out.

It really is fun to dig through my stash of retired products. I hope you do the same.

I am going to start doing Facebook lives in January…please like my Facebook business page (follow link below). I am hoping to include YouTube videos in the near future.
