Hello and welcome to today’s blog post. The layout for this card is called the Triple Time Technique. It’s an older technique, but a classic. This is my first card in my series of three this week.
I did a Facebook live video demonstrating how I made this card. If you watch the video, you will get a good chuckle while I look for the Stampin’ Seal:) I’ll add the link at the end of this post.
Here are the cutting instructions:
Polished Pink cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″ (this is your card base).
Basic Black cardstock: 5-1/4” x 4″; 3″ x 3″; 1-1/2″ x 3″
Basic White cardstock: 5″ x 3-3/4”; 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″; 1-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Stamping:
Layer your Basic White cardstock using glue dots- one per layer (you are going to want to be able to lift this paper off without tearing). Make sure you have your Basic White aligned correctly. First, stamp your sentiment. Now, using your Painted Poppies stamp set, stamp your poppies in the Polished Pink ink. Using the solid poppy stamp and Polished Pink ink, fill in the poppies. I stamped off once for a lighter color. This is not going to fit in the lines. I know, I know, I struggle with that but it is supposed to be that way!
Layering:
Layer the Basic White layers on top of the Basic Black layers and glue in place. Now, line up the flowers as best as you can and glue all of those layers in place. I popped my sentiment layer up on dimensionals.
The Extras:
I added some Wink of Stella to the inside of the flowers and Basic Rhinestones at the base of the card.

I made the same card using the Soft Succulent cardstock as the base. Which one do you like better? You can use any stamp set you like with this technique.
