Creating cards is fun! Adding a little Wink of Stella for that extra sparkle, a few embellishments, twine or ribbon. And, to be honest, it is nice to a have card ready to go when you realize you have almost forgotten to acknowledge someone’s special day. But, this post really is not about selling product, etc. It’s more about the joy of sharing.
Let me share a conversation I recently had with one of my many daughters. We were chit-chatting about Father’s Day, and she was telling me about looking for a card for her Dad (my husband). “Mom, I can not believe how much cards cost. They are expensive. And, they are not even that nice”. Now, if this daughter lived closer to me, she could just raid my stash. But, she doesn’t….
So, I’ve started something new. I now send blank cards to my girls. I jot a note on a piece of scrap paper (you know, the “Mom” note…haha), enclose a stamped, folded envelope and send it off. I send the stamped envelope to save them a trip to the post office.
This is a win-win for everyone! I get the joy of sending my girls a little , inexpensive something and a quick note and they get to have a few cards on hand to pass along. After all, our motto at Stampin’ Up! is “Inspire. Create. Share”.
