Hello and welcome to today’s card! This card is made with the A Touch of Ink stamp set. This is a two-step stamp set and it is beautiful. This set is only available during Sale-A-Bration (which ends at the end of this month) with a qualifying order of $100. Keep reading to find out how to make this card. I also did a Facebook live video demonstrating how easily this card comes together. I will post the link at the end of this post.
Cutting your cardstock:
Basic Black: cut 1 @ 4-1/4″ x 11″. Score @ 2-3/4″ and 8-1/4″
Basic Black: cut 1 @ 4-1/4″ x 2-3/4″
Granny Apple Green: cut 3 @ 4-1/8″ x 2-5/8″
Oh So Ombre DSP: cut 2 @ 4″ x 2-1/2″
Whisper or Basic White: cut 1 @ 2-1/2″ x 4″
Stamping:
Start with your Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and stamp the flowery image in the corner. Using Rococo Rose, fill in your image with the coordinating stamp.
Now for that gorgeous hummingbird! Stamp the outline in Memento Tuxedo Black, and then stamp the body with Daffodil Delight. I stamped the Daffodil Delight off once on scrap paper for a lighter image.
Coloring:
Color in the hummingbird in the colors you like. I chose Light Rococo Rose, Granny Apple Green and Light Pool Party. I don’t have the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends, so instead, I used a block, my ink pad and a Blender Pen. Watch the video to see how this was done.
I added a hint of Wink of Stella to the feathers…just enough for a little sparkle.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
First, fold your scored pieces of the Basic Black cardstock towards the center and starting layering–first with the Granny Apple Green cardstock and then the Oh So Ombre DSP.
Next, put the center piece together in this order: Basic Black, Granny Apple Green and your White with the stamped images.
With only putting glue on the left side of the center piece, adhere in place. Next, add your bling and this card is done!! Didn’t I say this would be easy?
