Welcome to today’s blog post. This week I am featuring the Dragonfly Garden Bundle and this is card #2 in my series of 3 cards. This is a simple card but isn’t it pretty? I love the Stampin’ Up! 2021-2023 In Colors and and really tried to incorporate them in this card. Keep reading to learn how easily this card comes together.
Cutting:
Evening Evergreen cardstock @ 4 1/4″ x 11″. Score @ 5 1/2″. This is your card base.
Pale Papaya cardstock @ 4″ x 5 1/4″
Basic White @ 4″ x 5 14″. This layer is for the inside of your card.
Stamping and using the Dragonfly Punch:
I used the long flower stamp along with Evening Evergreen ink to create the background on the Pale Papaya cardstock. Can you see the Pale Papaya butterflies? I love the tone on tone look. You could color in this background, but I like the simplicity of it.
Stamp three of the dragonflies using whatever colors you like. I chose: Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia. Punch these out.
Stamp your sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock.
Die Cutting:
Using your layering circle dies, cut out your sentiment and a scalloped circle (I used Evening Evergreen cardstock) to go behind the sentiment.
Let’s finish this card up:
Adhere all of your layers together and pop those dragonflies up on dimensionals. I used the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to add a little extra pop to the dragonflies and cardstock.
