Pop-up card using Animal Expedition Designer Series Cardstock

Well, here it goes. My first blog post.

This is what I have learned today: really, really look at the designer paper before it is glued in place. Yep, that’s right, that kangaroo is missing his head. Normally, I would remake this entire card in the hopes of “perfection”, but, not today. Today I think I will place a purple ribbon there and mail it off. Hopefully, my mistake will help you other crafters take that second (and possibly third) look.

To be honest, I practice new techniques and card designs on my grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They all love mail and don’t seem to mind the mistakes, excess glue and ink smudges. I get a little better with each card I make, and have fun making them! After all, hobbies should be fun.

This pop-up card was easy to make. Once the components are made, it comes together quickly. I thought about writing the directions out for you, but there are so many great YouTube videos out there already.

Of course, if you are interested in purchasing any of these items, please go to my online store: cardsbycoco.stampinup.net or contact me via email.

****update**** Above is a picture with a little bit of ribbon that I was able to get during Sale-A-Bration. Better? I think so. I also think I will look where I am cutting next time!
