Today’s card is a throwback to The Gang’s All Meer. This set is from a previous Sale-A-Bration. I needed two birthday cards and these came together quickly. Aren’t they cute? Now, for the card recipe:
Card Stock:
~Cut Cinnamon Cider card stock at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″. This is your card base. Cut another piece at 4″ x 1-1/2″.
~Cut Old Olive card stock at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Stamping:
~ Using Old Olive ink and the cactus stamp, randomly stamp your image on the Old Olive card stock. I love the tone on tone look. Doesn’t this make a great background?
~ Using Stazon ink, stamp your meer cats on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. If you have not tried this paper out, you really should. It is wonderful for blending colors together and truly designed for water coloring. This is a good time to grab your blends (Crumb Cake light and dark) and fill in your meer cats. I used a little Old Olive ink to “ground” the image.
~ Also using Stazon ink, stamp the sentiment of your choice.
~ Stamp the party hats in the colors of your choice. I randomly grabbed 3 different colors from the shelf.
Dies Using Cutting Machine:
~ Using The Layering Squares Dies, cut your meer cats to fit. Using the next size up scalloped edged die, cut a piece of vellum. I really like the how the vellum looks. It adds a little something without adding color.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
~Glue the image on the water color paper to the vellum. Place your party hats atop their heads with glue dots. Put all layers together and pop that squared image up using dimensionals. Add some bling and this card is done!
