Hello and welcome to today’s blog post. This is the third and last card in my series showcasing the Triple Time Technique and the Painted Poppies stamp set. I love how I was able to make three completely different cards using the same stamp set! Can you even believe this card was made using a flowery stamp set?! Keep reading to learn how I made this card.
Dimensions:
Fresh Freesia cardstock: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score @ 4-1/4″. This is your card base. You will also need two additional pieces—one @ 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ and one @ 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
Basic White cardstock: 4″ x 5-1/4″ (cut two–one is for the inside of your card); 3″ x 4-1/4″; 2″ x 3-1/4″
Stamping:
First, stamp your sentiment. Then, layer your Basic White pieces (with the exception of the inside piece) together using one glue dot per layer. You want to be able to easily take these layers apart while not ripping your paper. Take the “splotchy” stamps and using Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya inks, stamp on your layers. What I like best about this design is that the colors can easily be swapped out to make a masculine card!
Putting It All Together:
Start adhering your Basic White to the Fresh Freesia layers. I wrapped the top layer with Pale Papaya ribbon and popped that up on dimensionals. Add whatever bling you like and this card is done!!
I did make a video demonstrating this technique. I am new to videos and it’s definitely a learning curve for me. If you watch it, you will get a good chuckle while I look for the Stampin’ Seal…hahaha. Follow this link to watch on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Fp_v1yd2Mc
