Hello and welcome to today’s blog post using the Stampin’ Up! Color and Contour Bundle. I love this bundle! The Scalloped Contours Dies are amazing. I already have Christmas card ideas swirling through my head using these dies. This is the first of three cards I will be blogging this week showcasing this bundle.
Keep reading if you would like to know how to make this card.
Cutting Dimensions:
Evening Evergreen cardstock @ 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score @ 4-1/4″. This is your card base. You will also need a scrap for your sentiment.
Pale Papaya cardstock @ 4-1/4″ x 5-1/4″
Basic White cardstock @ 4″ x 5-1/4″. This is for the inside of your card. You will also need a 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ piece. You will also need a scrap to stamp a flower on.
Stamping:
Here’s the fun part and a two-step stamping process for the flowers. First, using the smaller piece of Basic White cardstock, take your flower stamp and randomly stamp all around your cardstock–you are basically making your own DSP. Next, using Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya inks, stamp the inside of your flowers.
Don’t forget to stamp a flower on your scrap piece of Basic White, the inside of your card and your envelope.
Once the ink was dry, I added Wink of Stella to the center of the flowers.
Embossing:
Using VersaMark, stamp your sentiment on your scrap of Evening Evergreen cardstock. Now, heat emboss using the White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
Die Cutting:
Cut your homemade DSP using the second largest frame and your sentiment using the smallest frame. Next, die cut your flower.
Let’s Put This Card Together:
Adhere your layers together popping your sentiment and flower up on dimensionals. Add a bow and some bling.
Doesn’t that Wink of Stella just add the perfect amount of sparkle?
I did do a Facebook Live video demonstrating this technique: https://fb.watch/5l4IWlBJoh/. I’m still a bit new to the video world, so please hang in there with me! Follow my FB business page for the latest Stampin’ Up! news. I also have a YouTube channel if you are not a FB fan.
