It is so easy to create your own background using the Stampin’ Up Blending Brushes. These can be found in the Accessories & More section of the annual catalog. I love how simply elegant this card is. Let me tell you how I made it:
Dimensions & Cutting:
Basic Black cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″. Score at 4-1/4″ . This is your card base.
Pale Papaya cardstock at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Basic White cardstock at 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″. Cut another piece at 4″ x 5-1/4″ (this is the inside layer for your note).
Blending, Die-Cutting and More:
Using your Blending Brush and Pale Papaya ink, start making your background. I find it easier to start off the paper and work in a swirly motion. Apply as much or as little ink as you like.
Next, die-cut your sunflower using the Sunflowers Dies and Adhesive Sheets. This is really the best way to get this die-cut to lay flat. If you have not used the Adhesive Sheets yet, you really need to! They are amazing.
Die-Cut the center part of the Sunflower. I used the In Color 6″ x 6″ DSP. My favorite thing about Stampin’ Up is the color coordination.
Stamp your sentiment in the upper right hand corner.
Before you start adhering your layers, wrap a piece of the Pale Papaya ribbon around the Basic White layer.
Let’s Finish Up this Card:
Adhere all of your layers together, add some bling and this card is done!!
